Kendra Pinto
Secretary/Treasurer
Kendra Pinto is a Diné woman from the Eastern Agency of the Navajo Nation. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Fort Lewis College and serves as Secretary/Treasurer for the Board of Directors at Diné C.A.R.E. Kendra is a certified Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) Thermographer with Earthworks, where she documents methane pollution and advocates for stronger regulatory protections in frontline communities.
Deeply rooted in the Greater Chaco Region, Kendra’s work centers on holding tribal and federal agencies accountable for the lasting harm of oil and gas extraction. Her advocacy includes community education, public speaking, and direct engagement with decision-makers—most recently guiding Navajo Nation Vice President Richelle Montoya on a Toxic Tour highlighting emissions in the region.
Kendra continues to monitor air quality across Navajo lands while pushing for transparent, health-centered tribal policies. She is a member of the Counselor Chapter’s Citizens Health Impact Assessment Committee and is featured in the documentary Our Story: The Indigenous-Led Fight to Protect Greater Chaco.
